Jamol & PJ's Trip to Titania
Jamol & PJ's Trip to Titania
Ever since Jamol was a young little boy his ambition was to make a rocket ship with his own hands and blast off into space where all the big bright stars are, the big bright yellow sun, the moon and all the other planets. But… the main planet Jamol wanted to go and explore was Titania. Titania isn't actually a planet, it's a moon that belongs to Uranus. There was just something about this moon that he loved. A few years later Jamol turned twenty and his German Shepherd that he has had for a long time, PJ, just turned seven. So at this point Jamol wanted to do his biggest ambition, create his own rocket ship with his own hands. He worked day and night twenty four seven trying to complete his very own project. Finally five years later he was finished! Now it was time to blast off into his dream!
Finally at twenty five years of age Jamol and PJ got all geared up in their brand new space gear and climbed into their spacecraft. They jumped in, pushed a big bright red button and the button counted down from 10! As the spacecraft was counting down Jamol was so excited and happy that his dream was coming true. It got down to 1 and the spacecraft blasted off into space. He was so happy he was crying with joy. When they finally arrived near Titania as they were about to land on Titania the spacecraft was going CrAzY and suddenly broke down. They were falling so fast they didn't know what to do! It his Titania so hard that the spacecraft broke into smithereens! When Jamol eventually woke up from the cRaSH something terrible happened…
PJ WAS MISSING! Jamol was so upset, frightened and scared because his dog that he has had for a long time was missing on a MOON! PJ could be anywhere. But then…
Jamol went searching and after about 10 minutes he found PJ with old bits of wood and metal! Jamols face lit up with happiness as he ran over and gave PJ a big hug! And PJs response was a big sloppy lick! After seeing PJ JAmol finally
realized all the bits of wood and metal and decided to do something with it to get back to earth!
Jamol used his smart thinking brain and made something out of it! A roller coaster. He worked on it for a while and made a cart for PJ and himself and also made some rails. He pushed the rails off Titania and luckily it actually landed on earth then Jamol and PJ jumped into the cart and held on very extremely tightly. They were going so fast that they were on earth in NO TIME.
After that day Jamol was so happy that his dream came true.
Kylah Tahere.
For writing this term it had to be a narative story about space and a moon from Uranus. My teacher entered us into a writing competition and your writing had to be 300 words plus I am very proud of myself because I got 482 words in total.

Sailing Experience
Yesterday (22 March 2021) the year 7 & 8s went out to Taipa for a sailing experience. It was so much fun. When we arrived we went through a few rules and instructions and got split into 2 groups. My group (group 1) went first for sailing. We quickly put our togs on and then got geared up with a life jacket. We walked down to the beach with excitement. The instructors gave us a bit of a lesson of how to stear the sail in the direction you want to go it was a bit strange because if you wanted to turn right you had to turn the searing left and if you wanted to go left you had to turn the searing right, she also taught us how to work the sail. We had to get into pairs I went with my friend Peyton, then we were AWAY. All our sail boats got attached together so we could get pulled out by a little boat with a motor. When we got dragged out in the deep bit of the ocean we all got separated it was pretty scary then the parents and instructors set us a fun task, the parents & instructors through out into the water coloured balls and we had to get them with out getting out of our boats i'm pretty sure Peyton and I got 16 balls. After that activity we got Capsized, getting capsized was definitely the funnest thing if you don't know what capsizing is it is when your sail gets flipped over and you have to flip it back over it was fun because in the middle of capsizing we had a bit of a swim around. After the fun it was time to attache the sails back together and go back into shore. It was a great experience and I would love to do it again.
Meanwhile on shore there was even more activity's one of my favourite activity's was a tying knots one I'll explain how it works. First of all you had a laminated sheet of paper with instructions on how to do the activity. On the table you had a whole bunch of rope and knots that have all ready been done just for you to have a look at. I managed to get one knot and it was the figure 8 knot. There were four more activity's but that one was my favourite.
Over all I think it was very fun, exciting and interesting to learn about sailing. It was definitely a great experience. Thank you Mr Acton for taking us on this amazing trip I would love to do it again.
